Ana Nedeljković ENG
"Behind the scenes: Rabbitland"
On Friday, 23 October 2015, at 6 pm, as part of the Little Elephant festival, we presented animator Ana Nedeljković and opened the exhibition "Behind the scenes: Rabbitland" at the K18 Gallery.
Rabbitland by Ana Nedeljković and Nikola Majdak jr. has been presented at around 100 festivals worldwide (including the international stop motion animation festival StopTrik in Maribor in 2014) and won the Crystal Bear at the Berlinale, among other awards. Brainless rabbits live in Rabbitland - a perfect world modelled on the most successful examples of war zones, ghettos and impoverished neighbourhoods. The rabbits are distinctly pink, have holes in their heads instead of brains and are happy no matter what. They are the highest stage of evolution. Their everyday life is perfectly fulfilled. Rabbits spend all their days in free and democratic elections, which happen every day in Rabbitland, because it is an established democracy. Anyway, the film also tells us that the elections are organised by evil girls for fun. Trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9z9aCEc6Vek
